Self-consistent Green’s function and RPA studies of nuclei

چکیده
where E PT is the contribution to the total binding energy in second order perturbation theory. A perturbative expansion of the RPA equations shows that (i) the sum in Eq. (1) must also include charge exchange modes and (ii) E PT is double counted and must be subtracted [3]. This leads to an improved description of the binding energies of most closed shell nuclei, up to Pb, as shown in Fig. 1 [3]. The fair agreement between MBPT and RPA shown in the figure gives further evidence that the VUCOM could be treated perturbatively.

Self-consistent Green’s function method for nuclei and nuclear matter
Recent results obtained by applying the method of self-consistent Green’s functions to nuclei and nuclear matter are reviewed. Particular attention is given to the description of experimental data obtained from the (e,e′p) and (e,e′2N) reactions that determine one and two-nucleon removal probabilities in nuclei since the corresponding amplitudes are directly related to the imaginary parts of th...
متن کاملEffects of self-consistency violation in Hartree-Fock RPA calculations for nuclear giant resonances revisited
We provide accurate assessments of the consequences of violations of self-consistency in HartreeFock (HF) based random phase approximation (RPA) calculations of the centroid energy Ecen of isoscalar and isovector giant resonances of multi-polarities L = 0 − 3 in a wide range of nuclei. This is done by carrying out highly accurate HF-RPA calculations neglecting the particle-hole (ph) spin-orbit ...

The first nuclear structure application of the newly developed Gorkov selfconsistent Green’s function method is presented. The approach aims to describe many-nucleon systems from an ab-initio standpoint featuring an explicit treatment of pairing correlations. In the present work calculations of binding energies of calcium isotopes are reported and compared with experimental data and other theor...

The fully self-consistent Random Phase Approximation (RPA) is constructed within the Unitary Correlation Operator Method (UCOM), which describes the dominant interaction-induced short-range central and tensor correlations by a unitary transformation. Based on the correlated Argonne V18 interaction, the RPA is employed in studies of multipole response in closed-shell nuclei across the nuclide ch...

Graphene based optical devices are highly recommended and interested for integrated optical circuits. As a main component of an optical link, a photodetector based on graphene nano-ribbons is proposed and studied. A quantum transport model is presented for simulation of a graphene nano-ribbon (GNR) -based photo-transistor based on non-equilibrium Green’s function method. In the proposed model a...
